Songwriter’s Market is the guide that’s been helping songwriters find success for more than 35 years. As with our other Market Books, Songwriter’s Market provides a mix of professional listings with great interviews and how-to instruction articles.
Do you have songwriting connections?
If so, you may be the perfect person to pitch an article or two for the 2014 Songwriter’s Market. The new editor, James Duncan, says, “We’re looking for articles on songwriting technique, music promotion, current DIY and social media tools for musicians, etc.”
If you’re interested, just follow these simple instructions:
- Pitch an article to James Duncan at firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line: 2014 Songwriter’s Market Pitch.
- Include pitch (or three) in one e-mail message. Remember: One e-mail is easier to manage than several. Avoid attachments.
- Deadline: ASAP. If you can get submissions to James by 1/21/13, I’m sure he’d appreciate it.
Just because this was an issue (for whatever reason) in my most recent call for submissions: Yes, these articles are paid assignments that with terms figured out and approved (by both parties) upon acceptance.
